Being recognised for the second consecutive year as a Key Driver of the energy transition confirms the effectiveness of the steps we have taken towards a sustainable future. We responsibly invest in renewable energy production, energy renovation and efficiency. We measure, offset and report our direct Scope 1 and 2 emissions and the majority of our indirect Scope 3 emissions in accordance with GHG Protocol standards. ISO 14001:2015 certification and the project ‘Energia in Campo’, the football Renewable Energy Community, demonstrate a genuine promise: to generate shared and lasting value for local communities, promoting truly responsible practices.

Today’s energy crisis, intensified by the war in Iran, has once again revealed how fragile our dependence on fossil fuels is. For over a decade, ènostra has been working to build a different model—one that places citizens at the center and treats energy as a common good. In its PV contracting services, AEW handles planning, construction management, financing, as well as the operation and maintenance of PV systems. Through smart sector coupling, the expansion of charging infrastructure, and data-driven solutions, we are creating initiatives in Radolfzell and the surrounding area that make climate protection measurable while tangibly improving the daily lives of local residents.

The energy transition—and the associated transportation transition—is becoming an increasingly pressing concern for us in Europe. With that in mind, I am pleased to have made a small contribution.

Electromobility can only work if drivers can rely on a stable and comprehensive charging network and that is exactly what WVV provides in Würzburg and the surrounding region. Winning this award for the second year in a row in the “Mobility” category is a team achievement of which I am very proud. At WVV, we combine reliability with a vision for the future: because transformation can only succeed through a spirit of innovation and the courage to embrace change.

This renewed award is both recognition and motivation for us: it reinforces our commitment to driving the energy transition holistically – in our commodity business and with solutions for the home. For our customers, this means combining ecological responsibility with security of supply, efficiency, and affordability.

Sustainability is not a goal we still need to achieve — it is the starting point of everything we do. This award reaffirms our commitment to pursuing solutions with dedication and innovative strength, for private households as well as for companies of all sizes. By 2030, we will invest a total of 360 million euros, with a significant share dedicated to climate protection: expanding our electric bus fleet, increasing the generation of green electricity from solar and wind, and strengthening our grid infrastructure. These efforts will ensure that the East Hesse region is well prepared for the future.
